Nigeria first President is Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe,He is a vigorous champion of African independence from European colonial rule.he is an Ibo man from the southeastern part of Nigeria.On Nov. 16 1960, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe became the first Governor-General of a Federation of three Regions of the North, East and West, with Lagos as the Federal Capital.He died Saturday in a hospital in his native eastern Nigeria after a long illness. He died at the age of 91.
