United Nations Information Centre was established in 1967 as part of United Nations Department of Global Communications. Nigeria being the giant of Africa is among the 59 countries network of United Nations Information Centres which helps to link the Headquarters of the United Nations with people around the world. UNIC aid the aims, objectives and activities of the United Nations, through the distribution of public information, communication and education material for use in the media, schools and directly to members of the public.
